National Music Festival

Roanoke Times plugs Floyd County's newest music venue...we embrace all genres!!

Out & About: National Music Festival

Music, food, drink and springtime in the mountains -- and it's all for a worthy cause.
The National Music Festival presents "An Evening of Cabaret" at Natasha's Market Cafe in downtown Floyd on Sunday night. The event will help fund scholarships for the festival's apprentice program.
Richard Rosenberg, the festival's artistic director, will sing "Anatole of Paris" and perform the Puccini aria "O mio babbino caro" on the theremin, an early electronic musical instrument. Pianist Janina Dumont O'Brien also will perform.
The National Music Festival will debut in Floyd from May 29 to June 11, and will feature professional musicians and apprentices rehearsing and performing 25 concerts together.
