Get Ready Here Comes the Virginia Blue Ridge Music Festival

Mountain Song Inn is gearing up for the Virginia Blue Ridge Music Festival, May 30 - June 9th.
Make plans to visit for the week or part of it and learn Floyd isn't all Blue Grass, we have musicians and locals that appreciate both venues.

Virginia’s Blue Ridge Music Festival presents “Classics Around the World” at Floyd EcoVillage's Celebration Hall

Don’t miss this exciting pre-Festival spring benefit concert – April 18, 6:30 pm at the wonderful new Celebration Hall at Floyd EcoVillage. Come hear violin virtuoso Akemi Takayama, Maestro David Stewart Wiley at the grand piano, and other acclaimed Festival principal musicians, as they perform classic favorites from around the globe.

This concert includes Mendelssohn’s youthful and memorable violin concerto, the Romance by female pioneer Amy Beach, a traditional Japanese classic Haru no Umi by Michio Miyagi, George Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue finale, Vittorio Monti’s Gypsy-infused Czardas, and the fun and up-tempo Jazz suites by French master Claude Bolling.

The evening of show stopping masterpieces from around the world will benefit Virginia’s Blue Ridge Music Festival for its inaugural season: May 30 – June 9, 2013.
